Bjarrum joins from BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group, where he served as Group COO, bringing extensive international leadership experience and a strong operational track record. During his eight years at BIG, he oversaw operations across Copenhagen, London and New York. A graduate of Copenhagen Business School, he is well placed to lead KHR into its next phase.

Bjarrum succeeds Lars Kragh, who has led KHR Architecture for the past 12 years and played an important role in the company’s development, including its expansion into Norway, Greenland and Germany. Over the past year, Lars also helped shape this transition by initiating the search for the right profile to support KHR’s next phase of development.

The appointment marks the next step in KHR Architecture’s development under ARX ownership and reflects the company’s ambition to build on its 80-year Nordic design legacy and extend its reach across international markets. Since joining ARX Group 18 months ago, KHR has broadened its international presence, with recent projects in the Middle East, Italy, Germany and the United States.

Lars will continue to support KHR to ensure a smooth leadership transition.
