The Project
The Giampilieri-Fiumefreddo railway section, in its entirety (first and second lot), affects the Region of Sicily in the provinces of Catania and Messina. The track-doubling project starts on the historical line, about 5km after the Mascali stop and 2km before the current Fiumefreddo station. The construction design of the first lot concerns the trackdoubling of the section between Fiumefreddo and Taormina, while the second lot goes from Taormina to Giampilieri.
