The Project
The project comprised the expansion of airfield infrastructure at Zirku Airport to enhance operational capacity and support offshore logistics activities.
The scope included the design of apron and taxiway geometry, pavement structure, and airfield ground lighting (AGL) systems for the taxiways, apron, and helipad.
Works also covered layout and marking design, drainage and hydrant network coordination, and technical compliance with international standards.
The upgraded facilities were commissioned in 2017, improving safety, efficiency, and airfield resilience under constrained island conditions.
